Massage

Our body's are under more pressure than ever. Today's lifestyles and constant pace doesn't leave much time for happy muscles. Let us help you fix that and get your body feeling loose and limber without those pesky pains.

Our Day Spa is located in Oak Flats, just a stones throw from Shellharbour and Kiama. Here we can treat you to a Swedish or Hot Stone massage from a mini 30 minute treatment to a full body 75 minute ultimate massage. Sounds good right?

What is Swedish Massage?

Swedish massage is one of the more popular and gentler massage techniques used today. But just because its gentle doesn't mean it doesn't help. Swedish massage has been used for centuries to help ease muscle tension, promote lymphatic drainage, increase energy levels and of course for relaxation. It uses slow, flowing movements to achieve a blissful state in both the body and mind.

And Hot Stone Massage?

As the name suggests, this massage technique includes the use of hot stones. We use these heated stones to apply pressure and massage your aches and pains with their smooth surface and our Pure Fiji Exotic Oil to help them glide and add beautiful moisture and antioxidants to the skin.

Hot stones are particularly beneficial for targeting deeper aches and pains and often clients who are particularly after pain relief, find this method more beneficial than a Swedish massage as it provides the extra benefits of heat to soothe your aches and pains. Our Salon owner, Liv, loves this massage as she is a sucker for warmth in winter. During those colder months it is hard to feel that bliss when its so damn cold! But after a session with these wonderful stones and our therapists' magic hands, even the coldest frog will be feeling like they are floating on cloud nine.

Pregnancy massage

We offer pregnancy massage in our Day Spa and love seeing our expecting mothers find relief from their aches. We use the 'Belly pillow' system to enable pregnant clients to lay forward and take the pressure off their backs and hips.

The pregnancy massage differs to a traditional Swedish massage in the way we position the client and also certain areas we need to avoid as it can trigger early labour in pressure points in certain areas like the ankle. While we love seeing the post massage glow of our clients, we ask that pregnant clients who are considered high risk seek doctor's consent prior to their appointment to ensure the safety of both Mum and Bub.

What do we use in our massages?

You can always tell when we have had a massage booked at Oak & Eve Beauty because you can smell the beautiful massage oil through the whole salon and spa. What you smell is our natural Exotic Oil from Pure Fiji. In particular the infusion we use in salon is Coconut. It contains four main nut oils, Coconut oil, Macadamia Nut oil, Sikeci Oil and Dilo Oil. Each of them are sustainable harvested and made by the Pure Fiji team using traditional methods.

Exotic Oil is not only a beautiful and luxurious oil its full of actively nourishing vitamins to help repair, hydrate and protect your skin.

  • Coconut Oil helps to repair the skin and reduce inflammation while hydrating deeply
  • Macadamia Nut oil is rich in antioxidants to protect the skin against pollution damage and also helps repair and prevent scarring such as stretch marks
  • Sikeci Oil is high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin A, E and F to help revitalize and soften dry skin
  • Dilo Oil promotes growth of healthy skin cells and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
